CMPAC’s submission to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) provides recommendations on the Best Practices Paper to Combat Abuse of Non-Profit Organizations. Our recommendations bring focus to the needed reforms in guidelines that shape anti-terrorsim financing policies, including influencing the Canada Revenue Agency.
We draw attention to the well-documented and biased over enforcement applied to Muslim charitable organizations, and give recommendations on how the guidelines issued can work to remedy these issues.
