On Monday October 23, MPP Sarah Jama was censured in Provincial Legislature for her historically grounded statement calling for a ceasefire in Palestine. Moments before her censure vote, she was also removed from the Ontario NDP caucus.

Community organizations have written to the provincial party leaders in support of MPP Sarah Jama’s stance for justice, her right to express a human rights-based political opinion as an elected official, and the representative rights of her constituents. Read the full letters below.
