Write to the Minister of Public Safety, Gary Anandasangaree demanding urgent accountability regarding recent border enforcement practices denying entry to Muslim and Pro-Palestine speakers.
There is growing concern that Canada’s border decision-making is increasingly influenced by ideological pressure campaigns and inconsistent application of immigration rules, particularly in relation to invited scholars, journalists, activists, and public figures attending major Canadian events such as the Muslim Association of Canada Convention.
Reports of visa denials, revocations, secondary screenings, and entry refusals have raised serious questions about whether CBSA is operating within its statutory mandate of public safety and border integrity, or whether enforcement tools are being applied in ways that risk suppressing lawful expression and legitimate political and academic engagement.
