NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: Reject Bill C-9: Defend Our Right to Speak Up

Bill C-9 the so-called ‘Combatting Hate Act’ is framed as protecting communities but in reality, it introduces vague and overbroad powers that expand policing and threaten our capacity to mobilize for Gaza.

This week, on Friday October 17th 2025 we’re asking you to hand-deliver CMPAC’s joint statement rejecting Bill C-9 to your MP. Let them know we will not stay silent while they attempt to criminalize our right to speak up

3- Visit your MP’s office Friday October 17 to speak with them about  Bill C-9 and hand them the printed statement.
