We are thrilled to present CMPAC’s budget submission for 2024, a strategic roadmap aimed at combating Islamophobia, fostering inclusivity, and contributing to Canada’s economic prosperity. Our recommendations include initiatives combatting discrimination within government agencies, fortifying the security of vital Muslim institutions, and advancing awareness campaigns to counter Islamophobia. We urge reforms in the Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Border Services Agency to enhance transparency, and advocate for increased funding for the expansion of the Office of the Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia (OSRCI).
