As Canadians prepare to head to the polls, the Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC), in partnership with She Associates Inc., Amnesty International, CJPME, Righting Relations, and Gazan Canadians, is launching a vital new resource: Gaza TRV Reunification Advocacy Toolkit – 2025 Federal Election Edition.
This toolkit is designed to equip you with facts, stories, and direct action steps to demand accountability for Canada’s deeply flawed Gaza Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) program.
Despite promises of humanitarian relief, the program has left thousands of applicants stranded, separated from loved ones, and waiting endlessly for security clearance, while many face serious medical threats and worsening conditions under siege.
Toolkit highlights include:
- A breakdown of the program’s failures and systemic barriers
- Firsthand stories of families enduring separation, illness and loss
- Data on application delays and discriminatory practices
- Talking points to engage candidates and elected officials
- Advocacy actions for public mobilization
One mother’s words say it all: “I begged them. I did everything right. And they just ignored me. It feels like Canada signed his death sentence.”
Canada’s immigration system must reflect human rights, not hypocrisy. The TRV program is not just broken – it is a symbol of institutional failure and discriminatory. This election, let’s demand bold leadership and real accountability.

Together, we can turn public pressure into political action and ensure Gaza’s families are no longer ignored.
